I was raised in a country called Trinidad and Tobago, it's a small island in the Caribbean. When I was 13 my parents got divorced. My mother moved me and my three younger siblings to New York, USA. When I was 16 my mother started teaching me and my siblings the value of money. My mom struggled. She worked at a college and had numerous part time jobs. When I was 19 I went to college to study accounting, I was a bartender, and got into the mortgage business.
In 2006 the bubble burst on the mortgage business. All the mortgage companies were in a crisis. I quit the mortgage business because I was not making any money as a loan officer. There were no sales and I made strictly a commission. I went back to bartending and met a guy who became my fiance. We were together for 9 years. The entire time we were together I didn't work. We traveled the first 3 years we were together. Then I decided that I wanted to be able to contribute financially, so I went back to school at the age of 35 years old. I got a degree in Health Information Technology, I was also a certified billing a coding specialist. Then I went to another school and got a degree in Public Health. I graduated at the top of my class with both of those degrees.
I got an internship as a medical case manager, and got the job. But then they cut funding for public health. There were so many hospitals closing down in New York and nurses were getting jobs at supermarkets just to get by. So I had to figure out something else to do.
So I went back to school and got a double masters degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine. After all that I couldn't find a job. I applied everywhere and there were thousands of people competing for the same job. Now I have hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt because of student loans. My fiance and I had broken up, but he was still supporting me financially. I had to find something to do, so I got a job at a department store selling Directv because I wanted to be independent.
One day I was on Facebook and found someone who was telling their story. I messaged him, and that's what got me into network marketing. I found a person who taught me attraction marketing with a professional platform. I went all in even though I had no idea what I was doing, so I went into learning mode.
Since then I have met and built relationships with all kinds of top earners, and been coached by a top earner. That's when things started coming together and I started making money. I have won company trips and now don't have to be supported by anyone but myself. Why? Because I took massive action. I am now co-hosting webinars and challenge groups with a 7 figure earner.
